About the Role

We're looking for a Finance Manager who sees finance as more than month-end and reporting. We want someone who'll take genuine ownership of the function and bring a process improvement and automation mindset to everything they do.

You'll be joining HRLocker, a fully remote Irish SaaS company with a growing footprint across Ireland. As we bring other Irish companies into the HRLocker business, you'll play a key role in pulling those finance operations together. This adds real variety and strategic exposure beyond a typical single-company finance role.

Person Specification

We're looking for a Finance Manager who is more than a technically accomplished accountant. We want someone who will truly own the finance function and play an active role in shaping the future of the business. The ideal candidate will bring energy, initiative, and a genuine desire to make things better.

Process Improvement & Automation Mindset

  • Has a genuine passion for streamlining and improving financial processes, always asking "how can we do this better?"

  • Experienced in identifying manual, repetitive tasks and finding ways to automate them

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and implementing change in a structured and considered way

  • Measures the impact of improvements and continuously iterates to drive efficiency

Ownership & Proactive Thinking

  • Takes full ownership of the finance function, not just maintaining what exists, but actively driving it forward

  • Anticipates challenges before they arise and brings solutions, not just problems

  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and thrives without the need for micromanagement

  • Stays ahead of regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices, applying them where relevant, particularly as group integration work progresses

  • Brings fresh ideas and a strategic, commercial mindset to how the finance team operates and reports

Collaboration & Communication

  • Builds strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted financial partner to non-finance stakeholders

  • Able to communicate complex financial information clearly and confidently to senior leadership

  • Collaborative by nature, but confident in pushing back where necessary to maintain financial integrity

Character & Culture Fit

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and energised by a fast-paced environment

  • Curious and growth-oriented, always looking to develop personally and professionally

  • High integrity and transparency in all financial matters

  • Comfortable in a fully remote working environment

What We Offer

  • Private healthcare

  • Fully remote working

  • Active support and funding for professional development and training

  • Regular company events and a collaborative, inclusive team culture
